Manuel Saba is a Civil Engineer with a Master’s degree in Structures and a PhD cum laude in Engineering, emphasis on Materials Science and Technology. He is currently a full-time professor at the University of Cartagena, Director of the Research Group on Structures, Construction, and Heritage (ESCONPAT), and head of the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering. He is the author of more than 40 scientific articles published in international journals in the last 5 years, focusing on heritage, construction material characterization, nano-technology materials, particulate matter dispersion in urban environment, asbestos related problems, remote sensing analysis among other topics. He is currently leading the most relevant research project regarding asbestos in Latin America.
